Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

AI Scheduler ("the App") is developed by Omar Almasalmeh. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.

2. Information We Collect

When you use AI Scheduler, we may collect the following information:

  • Authentication Data: Your name, email address, and profile picture from Google or Microsoft OAuth sign-in.
  • Calendar Data: Event data you choose to sync to Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook, including event titles, dates, times, descriptions, and recurrence rules.
  • Uploaded Content: Files, images, and voice recordings you provide for text extraction. These are processed in-browser or via secure API calls and are not stored on our servers.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To authenticate you and provide access to the App.
  • To extract event data from your uploaded content using AI and OCR processing.
  • To create calendar events in your Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook on your behalf.

4. Data Storage & Security

AI Scheduler processes your data primarily in-browser. Authentication tokens are stored securely in your browser's session storage and are automatically cleared when the session ends. They are never transmitted to third-party servers (other than Google/Microsoft during API calls). We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in.

Data Retention & Deletion: We do not store your uploaded files, images, or voice recordings on our servers. Any content processed via AI (such as through Hugging Face) is used transiently for extraction and is not retained or used to train models.

FERPA & Student Data: For student users utilizing university accounts, we act as a temporary processor. Since we do not persistently store class schedules or personal identifiable academic records on our servers, your data remains under your control within your secure Google or Microsoft accounts.

5. Third-Party Services

AI Scheduler integrates with the following third-party services:

  • Google APIs: For authentication and Google Calendar event creation.
  • Microsoft Graph API: For authentication and Outlook Calendar event creation.
  • Firebase: For user authentication.
  • Hugging Face: For AI-powered text extraction and natural language processing.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing data handling.

6. Your Rights

You may:

  • Revoke OAuth access at any time through your Google or Microsoft account settings.
  • Clear your local browser storage to remove all locally stored tokens.
  • Request deletion of any data associated with your account by contacting the developer.
